What we do, and just as importantly, what we do not do
This is the first thing worth stating plainly, because it changes what you can expect from us. We do not own vehicles, we do not staff a desk at the airport and we do not hand you the keys. What we do is collect live offers from licensed rental suppliers operating in Oman and put them side by side, so the choice is made before you land rather than at a counter at two in the morning.
The rental agreement is signed between you and the supplier. Their conditions govern the rental, and those conditions are printed in the voucher you receive after booking. When something goes wrong at handover, the supplier is the party that resolves it - but we will help you reach them and read the paperwork.
The search form on every page queries suppliers for your dates and pickup point and returns what is genuinely bookable at that moment. Availability in Oman moves quickly, particularly around the khareef season in Dhofar and the winter months in the north, so an offer visible in the morning may be gone by evening.
Three things are shown before you book rather than after: the security deposit the supplier will block on the main driver's card, whether the car is available with no deposit at all, and the cancellation terms. Those are the details that decide whether a rental fits a budget, and they are the ones most often buried.
We earn a commission from the booking partner when a reservation is completed. It does not change the price you pay and it does not decide the order in which offers appear - that order comes from the search itself. We think this is worth stating openly, because a comparison service that hides how it earns is worth less than one that does not.
Our pages follow where travellers actually rent: Muscat and Muscat International Airport as the main gateway, Salalah for Dhofar and the khareef, and Nizwa and Sohar for the interior and the Batinah coast. Alongside the geography we cover the decisions that trip people up: 4x4 hire in Muscat for mountain and desert routes, long-term rental, and the rules for crossing between Dubai and Oman.
We do not quote fixed prices on our pages. Rental rates in Oman change daily with season and availability, and a number written into a page in December is misleading by March. Prices belong in the live search, where they are real.
We also do not claim guarantees that belong to someone else. Insurance terms, mileage limits, off-road cover and fuel policy are set by each supplier, and we describe how they usually work rather than promising how they will work in your case.
Questions about a booking, a supplier or the site itself go to [email protected]. Enquiries are answered Saturday to Thursday, 8:00-20:00 Oman time (GMT+4). If you have already booked, quote the reference from your voucher - it is the fastest way for us to find the reservation.
More about the people behind the site is on the team page, and what travellers have told us afterwards is on the reviews page.
If you would rather work with us than write to us, the roles we recruit for are listed on the careers page.
