A comparison site is only as good as the judgement behind it: which suppliers get listed, which conditions get flagged, and whether anyone answers when something goes wrong. These are the people who make those calls. All four are based in Oman, and each address below reaches a person rather than a queue.

Grew up in Seeb, a few kilometres from the airport, and spent nine years in inbound tourism in Muscat before starting this site. The idea came from watching the same scene repeat at arrivals: a family that had booked a cheap rate abroad discovering at the desk that the hold on the card was several times the rental itself. Handles supplier agreements and decides what goes on the site.

Supplier quality
Reads the conditions so travellers do not have to. Checks what each supplier actually blocks as a deposit, which cards they take, what their off-road clause excludes and how they behave when a flight lands four hours late. Suppliers whose paperwork does not match their behaviour do not stay in our listings for long.

Airport and handovers
Works on everything that happens between landing at MCT and driving away: meeting points in the arrivals hall, flight tracking on delayed arrivals, and the walk-around inspection that saves an argument on return. Drives the routes he writes about, from the Jebel Akhdar checkpoint to the Wahiba dune tracks.
Layla Al Rawahi
Traveller support
Answers the email. Most questions are about documents and deposits: whether a national licence is enough, whether a debit card will be accepted, what happens if a second driver wants to share the wheel. Replies in English and Arabic, and tells people plainly when the answer is one only the supplier can give.
