This policy explains how cheapcarrentaloman.com handles personal data. It covers this website only. Once you continue to the booking partner to complete a reservation, their privacy policy applies to the data you enter there.
Data you give us. If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you put in the message. If you submit a review, we receive the name you enter, your email address, a rating, an optional location and the review text.
Data collected automatically. Standard web server records, including IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the referring page. Our analytics provider (Yandex Metrica) sets cookies and records aggregated usage, including session recordings of interactions with the page.
Search parameters. Dates, pickup and drop-off points and filters you enter are passed to the booking partner in order to return offers. We do not attach them to your identity.
We do not ask for and do not want payment card details, passport numbers or driving licence data. Those are handled by the booking partner and the supplier.
To answer your enquiries; to publish reviews after checking them; to return relevant search results; to keep the site secure and diagnose faults; and to understand in aggregate which pages are useful. Where our lawful basis is legitimate interest, it is the operation and improvement of the website; for review publication it is your consent, given by submitting the form.
A submitted review may be published with the name you supplied, shortened where it looks like a full personal name, together with the rating, the location and the date. Our hosting provider, which stores server logs; our analytics provider, which processes usage data; and the booking partner, which receives the search parameters and, if you proceed, the booking details you enter on their side. Email correspondence: up to two years after the last message. Review submissions: for as long as the review is published, and up to one year after removal. Server logs: normally no more than twelve months. Analytics data: for the retention period set by the analytics provider.
You may ask what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to processing based on legitimate interest, or withdraw consent for a published review. If you are in the EEA or the UK and you believe your data has been mishandled, you may also complain to your national data protection authority.
